Before you post any pictures on Facebook or tweet some radical idea – even post a comment on Reddit or respond to a thread on StumbleUpon - think twice. “Social Media BackgroundChecks” might soon be as commonplace as credits checks. An article in the New York Times reveals that a new startup – Social Intelligence – can gather data about you from sources other than Google and your LinkedIn profile as part of a background check for prospective employers. And, this information can be a cause for not getting that next job offer.
